This book “Essentials of Medical Physiology” provides deep knowledge of human physiology. Physiology is described as the study of functions of various systems and different organs of the body.
The basic physiological functions generally include provision of oxygen and nutrients, removal of metabolites and other waste products, maintenance of blood pressure and body temperature, locomotor functions, hunger and thirst, special sensory functions, and reproduction and intellectual functions like thinking, learning and memory.
A brief knowledge of the anatomy of different systems and organs to understand the principles of human physiology is most important.
